Read all ingredients carefully - "rice cereals" may contain grains which must be avoided. Malt flavouring, malt extract or malt syrup are not allowed. "Wheat-free" products are not necessarily " gluten-free ."

When you buy bulk flours, make certain there is no cross contamination from gluten containing flours in adjacent bins.

Some Loblaws and IGA stores carry Kingsmill bread, but the supply is not consistent.

Some Chinese stores, such as Fairway Trading Co. , 9 Byward Market, and a number in the Somerset Street area, carry rice products which are less expensive. Check ingredients.

Not all store personnel are knowledgeable about ingredients.

Spelt and Kamut are not allowed on the GF Diet!
